Description
This is a pair of original Grado GS3000e Cocobolo wood cups with cup holder preinstalled. Cocobolo is found in Central America, and just like the music there, is teeming with texture and emotion. Cocobolo is also used in the Grado GH2 and the flagship phono cartridge siblings, the Epoch and Aeon. This cup is the fullest single body of Cocobolo, and the GS3000e is the perfect fit for it.
Note this is a DIY shell kit including wood cups, front cover and bracket as shown in above pics, drivers and headband are NOT included.

Original Grado cable is with 6.35mm jack and 12 cores, 5.5mm outer diameter, very thick. You will need a 6.35mm to 3.5mm adaptor when using it with portable devices, like your mobile.

This headphone kit exceeded my expectations. I ordered this kit with the drivers and G cushions. I also ordered the headband kit with G cushions and everything went together well. I customized the cups in my kit with MMCX connectors and it turned out really nice for a detachable cable option. The drivers sound excellent. Vocals are vibrant, highs are really nice and mids are also really nice. I was actually surprised with the low end. I was not expecting a lot of low end from an open back setup but they perform well where bass is needed. I really enjoyed working on this headphone build project and it was nice to have found this site with most of the parts that I needed. I look forward to seeing this headphone DIY field grow to offer more of a selection of parts in the future.

I was amazed at the sound quality they have such a rich,warm sound quality to them and to my surprise the bass was prominent also. I am looking forward to purchasing a whole kit next time. I just purchased these chambers with GS3000e drivers and Grado headband.
The sound is incredible as a price around $300. I only have M1 and have tried RS-1, PS-500 and PS-1000 before, but I think it is reproduced the “GRADO sound” completely.
It has some minor problems such as some scraches on the chambers, not 1:1 engraving as a GEN, and LR units were installed inversely(I just swiched from the brackets), but overall this is not the headphone with this cheap price because of the its great sound.
Also I have say thanks for
the services. I asked to assemble these parts with replacing the connector to 4.4mm TRRRS one, and he(she) answered me I don’t have to pay the extra charges for these.
I really saticefied with this product, and now I’m wondering to buy PS-1000e and MS-Pro chambers for M1.
