Why no original packing and cable?
IE80 no longer being manufactured 1 year ago, this is from the ear bud ODM stock directly, so there is no original package or cable. We offer compatible cables with original connector and better quality.
How to tell IE80 ear buds are original?
You may hear some fake IE80 on eBay, etc, which are well packed but of poor sound quality. To protect your self from malicious sellers, we suggest you asking the seller to offer the Frequency Response measurement dedicate for your order. Then you can compare with the curve below published by GoldenEars.Net, a trust-able 3rd party. FR curve is like the finger print of the earphone and very difficult to be reproduced. So if the earbud is original, the curve shall be very close to below (in +/- 2.5dB variance).

And as IE80 is with bass tuner, this shows how it affects FR curve:
Red curve: when tuner set to max, you can see 5~2.5dB gain on low-bass, and drop on mid.
Blue curve: when tuner set to min, you can see loss on low-bass, and gain on mid.
